What is the prerequisite for entering the tournament The Golden Gloves in Caboolture 27th-29th August. Any info appreciated and thanks for your time  |

Hi Sledge,
Not many requirements but the boxer and club would need to be affiliated with AIBA, so a boxer registered with Boxing Queensland, Boxing NSW etc. (Global and League boxers would need to join an affiliate of AIBA/Boxing Australia). There are novice sections through to open and you don't need to nominate to attend, just be at the weigh-in between 8-10am. It's a BIG tournament so it's rare someone doesn't get a match but if you have female boxers or hard to match boxers it may be worth using the forum to state who you intend to enter and try and get an idea of potential opponents.

Hi Ann,
Can u enter the Golden Gloves if u havent had one fight?? So if u have had zero fights, can u still fight on the card? |

| Yes you can enter the Golden Gloves as there is a Novice Section called the "Silver Gloves" and the categories are: 0 - 3 bouts; 4 - 7 bouts; and 8 - 15 bouts. hope this clears things up for you. |
